Life

Well, I did not get this updated like a wanted too.  My sister a still my inspiration, but I am no where near there.  We have had the kids for six months now.  Crazy!  I can’t believe it has been that long.  They now call us Mom and Dad about 50% of the time.  Yesterday I was supervising a visit between them and their parents a Shute park, and Bianca ran up to me instead of her mom to have hold her coat.  It felt really good.  Also today Kai said, “well you are my mother.”  Wow, I thought I would never hear those words.

Work has been crazy, and it drives my nuts that I only see my kids for about an hour a day.  I wish I was able to work part time, or maybe 6-2.  Oh well, right now I am grateful that my husband and I both actually have jobs.

I know this is short, but it is time to put the kids to bed, and I don’t really have anything else to say!

Hello world!

Hi, I am Karen Hochstrasser, and have been meaning to start a blog for the past couple years.  I am sure I will not be as diligent as my sister Stephanie, but she is my inspiration.  Justin and I have recently become the parents of 3 wonderful children.  Kai is 10, Bianca is 7, and Yoshi is 5, almost 6.  We are their foster parents.  Going from 0 to 3 in a heart beat is quite an experience, but I love them.

I can’t believe how much your perspective changes when you are actually a mom.  I have such a great appreciation for all that my mother and father did for me growing up, and still do for that matter.  They are amazing people, and I have no idea how they managed all that comes with six children.  Three is hard enough, that is for sure.

I will add picks when I get my memory card adapter, and my computer isn’t dying!  Have a good day!
